Yard Sale - The Band

A little bit about Yard Sale…

Husband and wife team Griff and Laura Hamlin have always wanted to play together on a regular basis.  Each has played separately for numerous years in a variety of different bands around Southern California, but after having 3 kids and refurbishing a house - the time had come.  So, they gathered up some of their good friends, who also happen to be monster players, and formed the band Yard Sale.

We all know each other from our days as members of the Disneyland Resort Entertainment Division.  Each member of the band has either performed at the Park regularly in one of the bands on the Tomorrowland Terrace stage or been in charge of the bands as a Stage Manager.  Regardless, the training we received during that time is simple and effective:  play what the audience wants to hear, and have a great time doing it.

That philosophy has proved very successful at the bands steady gig at Java Joes Coffee House in Yorba Linda.  Each time the band plays, the place is packed with folks smiling, dancing, and having a genuinely great time.  Everyone loves the variety of music performed, and the quality in which it is presented.

Musically, the band has much to offer.  We are proud to say that each member currently holds or is pursuing a Bachelors or Masters Degree from major universities in music education or performance.  In addition, most of the members have been performing professionally in various bands throughout Southern California for more than 15 years, so lack of experience or professionalism is not a concern.

The band will arrive on time, be prepared, and keep your guests dancin’ all night long.  The camaraderie on stage is contagious, and we guarantee a memorable event for everyone.  We put on a high-energy performance packed with a steady stream of some of the best music you’ve ever heard.  We don’t focus on one particular style, genre, or time period.  We truly offer something for everyone…just like a good ‘Yard Sale’ should!
